The reporter recently learned from the Ningxia Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that the average export price of dried wolfberry fruit in Ningxia in the first 10 months of this year increased by 22% year-on-year; the export volume and price of deep-processed wolfberry juice increased simultaneously, and the region exported a total of 701.9 tons of wolfberry juice in the first 10 months. , the value of 5.767 million US dollars, an increase of 8.5% and 29.4% respectively. It is reported that due to the impact of the economic environment, Ningxia's wolfberry exports have shown a downward trend since the beginning of this year. In the first 10 months, a total of 3,558 tons of wolfberry dried fruit were exported, with a value of 43.434 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 31.1% and 16.1% respectively. The export of wolfberry is in urgent need of transformation.

Lycium barbarum is an important advantageous characteristic industry in Ningxia, and has been exported to more than 50 countries and regions such as the United States, Japan, Australia, the European Union, and Southeast Asia, and its exports account for more than 50% of the country's total exports. However, the problems of single export product structure and low added value of Ningxia wolfberry are still prominent. Exports are still dominated by dried wolfberry fruit, and the proportion of products such as wolfberry juice is less than 15%. It is urgent to promote the export of high value-added products such as quick-frozen fresh fruit, fruit juice, fruit vinegar, fruit wine, and wolfberry oil.

Ningxia Inspection and Quarantine Department actively seeks the support of CNCA to carry out the pilot work of organic wolfberry in the national-level export wolfberry demonstration area in Zhongning, so as to improve the international competitiveness of Ningxia wolfberry.

In order to strengthen the response to foreign technical trade measures, the Standard Law Center of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, Ningxia Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and the Zhongning County Government jointly established the China WTO/TBT-SPS National Notification and Consultation Center Goji Berry Research and Evaluation Base, which is specially responsible for the foreign market for Goji products. Information tracking, notification and review, research analysis, and research and development of countermeasures, to promote the formulation of reasonable international standards for pesticide residues in dried wolfberry fruit. The three parties will jointly establish a database of standards and technical regulations of major trading countries and regions for wolfberry, and provide them to the wolfberry enterprises in the region in a timely manner.

Ningxia Inspection and Quarantine Bureau will also deepen the construction of a demonstration area for the quality and safety of exported wolfberry, and promote a regional quality and safety management mechanism.
